WORKSHOP INFO
GRIEF CRY: energetic fields and conscious relations
Saturday 23 March, 10am – 5pm
In this day-long workshop you will explore the body as an energetic potential within sensory fields. Drawing on Indigenous knowledges and Body Weather practice, participants will attune to states of change, both within the body, and the body within a complex set of relations. At its core, this workshop is a celebration of
the ever-evolving nature of our bodies/ beings, and our capacity to transform,
mutate and dissolve. You will explore the instinctual body and atmospheric phenomena. Themes of birth, death and renewal within terrestrial, subterranean, and cosmological frames will be examined. The interplay of our ancestral connections, legacies, earth relations, and imaginings will focus the deep interconnections in this expanded world.
This workshop is suited for all physical levels and while no previous dance experience is required, you are asked to be prepared to engage in physical practice and sensitivity exploration. The level of physical practice can be adapted to access needs.
Please also note that by joining the workshop, you consent that
you are responsible for your own conduct and safety and therefore liable for
any injury that may occur as a result of your participation.
