Thank you for you interest in a place at King's Academy Ringmer. An
in year admission refers to any student joining the school mid way through the academic year, or moving schools at the start of the school year (e.g. any admission that is not year 6 into 7).
We are a school in the midst of change on our journey to be the best school in Sussex. We have sky high expectations and significant demand for places.
All admissions must follow the school's Admissions Policy
which can be found here.If the year group is full, you can request your child be added to the waiting list. Waiting lists cannot be run on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Students are ordered on the list according to the oversubscription criteria outlined in the Admissions Policy which can be found here.
We are obliged to fill places based on criteria outlined below, in this order:
- Children in Care
- Students whose siblings currently attend the academy and who will continue to do so on the date of admission
- Children of staff members
- Children living in the Community Area
- Children living outside the Community Area
If any spaces open up in a year group, we will refer to the waiting lists and offer the space/s to the students at the top of the list, ordered as per the criteria above.
