Books Editor
The Books Editor is responsible for a great section in Indigo, sourcing and writing content, as well as laying up the Books section’s pages and uploading articles to the website. They are also expected to be an active member of the editorial board, which includes distribution of the paper upon publication, and manage a contributor group. This section will produce 2-3 articles a week and lay up 1-2 pages in the fortnightly term time print edition.

Tasks
 Attending editorial board meetings
 Sourcing content/commissioning articles, including through a contributor group
 Laying up the page for print editions
 Checking and editing content once it comes in
 Performing editorial board duties, such as distribution

Skills and qualities
 Ability to learn how to use Adobe InDesign and WordPress
 Attention to detail
 Ability to keep to deadlines
 Strong visual eye and intuition about what makes an attractive layout
 Able to work both independently and as part of a team
 Communication skills and friendliness
 Diligence and reliability
