2024 New London Little League All-star Commitment
This form is required for players to be considered for the 2024 All-star draft. Please fill out a form for each player if you have more than one.

Season Commitment:

The season begins as soon as regular season play ends. Teams may practice every day until games start and players are expected to attend every practice and game. The end of the season depends on the team's performance. The season may last for 3 weeks or last the entire summer.Players are expected to commit to the entire season.

Playing Time

There is NO minimum field playing time. For league ages 12 and under players are required to have 1 at-bat per game.  

This is competitive play, the managers & coaches are allowed to field their teams as they see fit. If you are not willing to commit to a team where your child may not play very much, please opt-out.

Cost

There is typically an additional cost for uniforms. Cost may range from $60-$100 depending on the uniforms that are available. 

We may offer a fundraiser to help offset costs, but your player must participate in the fundraising to be eligible for fee coverage.

All-Star games will begin in our own district with minimal travel. If a team advances further in the tournament, travel for games will increase, and costs associated with travel and accommodations are the family's responsibility.

Additional Considerations

Players who are rostered on an All Star team are not eligible to play summer season. This is a district rule.

Acceptance of Draft Outcome

Once players are drafted to a particular All-Star team, parents do not have the ability to have players moved to a different team that they may be eligible for (example: players age 10 may be eligible for 12u or 10u teams).  

Parents do not have the authority or ability to have players moved to a more "desirable" team. Attempts to have players traded may result in the player's removal from All-Stars.

Host Team
In prior years when we have not had enough players to host our own All Star team, we have combined with another town.  Some times this has meant that New London players had to travel to another town for daily practices.

If we do not have enough New London players is your player willing and able to travel to another town in District 10 for the opportunity to participate in All Stars? (District 10 goes as far east as Pawcatuck/North Stonington and as far west as Lyme/Old Lyme).

All Star Eligibility

Little League International has All-Star player eligibility requirements. Including:

Proof of residency and/or school eligibility forms by deadlines

Original birth certificates by deadlines

Players must have participated in a minimum of 8 regular season games

Failure to meet any of these requirements may result in a player not being eligible to participate in All-stars.

I understand that: by not accepting any of the above commitment requirements my child will not be considered for All-Star play in the 2024 season.

I understand that even though I may have accepted all requirements for All-Star consideration, my child is not guaranteed to be selected to an All-Star team but they are eligible for selection.
