MDMA-assisted therapy waitlist request
Pending FDA approval, MDMA-assisted therapy may become legal for licensed therapists to use with their clients sometime in the next 12 months. If approved by the FDA, MDMA-assisted therapy will be available nationally, not just in Colorado. Because most licensed therapists are typically only able to work with clients in their state, we are encouraging interested people to find a local therapist because travel costs and operational challenges can be avoided by seeing a therapist in your state.

Clinical research has indicated that this type of therapy will require a significant financial and time commitment from clients seeking treatment. We anticipate that only people with long-term, significant mental health issues will be eligible for MDMA-assisted therapy. This will not be a recreational experience—it will be for intensive therapy. We anticipate that federal regulations, prescription costs, and treatment protocols are likely to price it that way.

We've had over 200 people express interest in MDMA-assisted therapy, but most people choose Ketamine-assisted therapy (or at-home treatments if they're outside of Colorado) or explore other traditional therapy options, like EMDR, once they're aware of its potential cost and requirements.

This form is to help clients who live in Colorado express serious, non-binding interest and explore eligibility for MDMA-assisted therapy if it's approved by the FDA for therapeutic purposes.
  • A recent clinical study indicated that MDMA-assisted therapy will cost $11,537 for a full treatment plan. If medication and prescription prices actually end up higher or lower, we will adjust accordingly.
  • MDMA-assisted therapy is unlikely to be covered by any type of insurance, including Medicaid.
  • We can only work with clients in Colorado and are unable to accept Medicaid, Medicare, or Tricare.
  • It's likely that some conditions and drug interactions will make people ineligible for MDMA prescriptions.
