21 April
Dear Parents
From Wednesday 29 April children whose parents are working away from home may continue their distance learning programme at school.
While at Alert Level 3 most people are expected to work and learn from home. Those that cannot work from home may return to work if they can do so safely. If parents are returning to work, they will be able to send their children to school. We are currently planning to partially reopen our school site for those children who need to be there from Wednesday 29 April.
To plan for this partial reopening and to ensure that we have appropriate procedures in place, we need to hear from every family about their situation and intentions by midday on Friday 24 April. If you indicate that your child needs to be supervised at school, I'll be in touch with you to make sure you and your child understand how school will operate during Level 3.
In the first 2 weeks that the school is open for supervision, we can cater for between 30 and 40 children. We are likely to be able to increase this number if necessary from the 11 May.
Thank you for your prompt response and also for your patience as we work through the details of how to meet your needs while meeting all of the physical distancing guidelines for schools. If you wish to discuss your situation before Friday please email me.
