2022 US Go Congress Scholarship Application
Youth who played in any of our major online events are eligible for a $200 Tournament Scholarship to Congress.  We also offer $300 Essay Scholarships.  If approved for both, you can get a total of $500 off the price of Congress. You will be notified by email if awarded a scholarship, and further instructions on how to claim it will then be provided.

Note: Tournament Scholarships are capped at $200 total per player.  You can claim it once for any of these tournaments, but not multiple times if you played in two of them. Tournament Scholarships are first come first serve, there are 20 allotted for the US and 5 for Canada and Mexico. Once they are used up, no more will awarded.

Application Essay: Write an essay about your involvement in Go. Where did you learn? How often do you play? What do you like best about Go? Have you taught your friends or others to play? What do you hope to gain by attending the Congress? What have you done and what are your goals as a player and member of the American Go community? Essays become the property of the AGF and may be used for promotional purposes. We welcome essays from very young children, and do not expect then to be writing at the level of older children. *
