The Dinner Club Group: Come dine together for a time of delicious food and fellowship once per month throughout the months of October through April. Participants will be asked to bring a dish to pass. This will be a casual relaxing event with the purpose of getting to know others better. The group will be limited to the first 10 people to sign up. When you sign up please indicate your preference of meeting times. If you have questions, contact Pastor Brian. Through 40 true, faith-building stories of God's answers to prayer, daily scriptures and prayer prompts, author Mark Batterson inspires you to pray and keep praying (circling) like never before. Begin a lifetime of watching God work, believe in the God who can do all things, and experience the power of bold prayers and even bolder faith. 5 short video sessions with guided study guide discussion questions with optional personal growth questions to go along with daily short devotions. Materials needed: Draw the Circle book (short daily devotions) and study guide; Journal would be helpful, but optional. Meeting frequency: Weekly. The Chosen—Season 1: This interactive study will use the eight sessions of the video series The Chosen—Season 1. The group will watch each session and then discuss it. It is the intent of this study to assist you in your ongoing relationship with the knowledge that you are called, cherished, and carried and have been made new and established; are now his witness, and more. This will be a safe place to invite a friend who is uncertain about “church” and the things they have come to think about Christianity or explore the reality that they too are “Chosen”. We invite you to join this group for one session or all eight of them. If you sign up, please indicate a time(s) when you would be available to meet. Meeting frequency: Weekly. The Engagement Project: The Engagement Project is Dr. Del Tackett’s next set of small-group worldview tours. All of his previous teachings, including the Truth Project which we studied last year, were developed with the goal to help believers build a comprehensive, systematic biblical worldview. And now, with that foundation, we are ready to take the next big step: to know Him more deeply and then to understand who we truly are, why we are still here on Earth, and what God has asked us to do. The Engagement Project's ten video tours will again take us on a marvelous quest of seeking the face of God and, as best as He will allow, to gaze upon the Crown Jewel in His nature—a quest we hope and pray will deeply transform the Body of Christ. This will lead us to understand where we are in God’s incredible vision, the vision that He has entrusted the primary work of the Kingdom to us, the common, everyday Christian. Men’s Discipleship Group: If you're interested in connecting with other men as we learn together what it takes to become a better disciple for Christ, then this is a study for you. We'll be basing our study out of the book of Acts to learn what it took the early church to grow and how we can apply it to our lives today. We'll be using the Serendipity Bible and dividing Acts into a 13-week study course. We'll either meet at church or at individual homes with a time to be determined. Come join us as we have fun while still getting into the meat and potatoes of being a better disciple for our Lord. Meeting frequency: Every other week. Time: TBD. Eat This Book: How do you eat? Do you shovel it down or do you savor each bite? Food experts tell us to slow down, don't take such big bites, chew your food well, and enjoy the texture and flavor of your food. How do you read the Bible? Do you read it just to get it done or do you read it so as to savor it? Eat This Book by Eugene Peterson (author of The Message) guides us in the art of spiritual reading of scripture. Each session will be based on a chapter of the book. There will be nine sessions. Meeting frequency: Weekly. Time and Place: Sunday evenings in the north side of the Fellowship Room.
