STMA Award for Excellence In Economics and Related Fields Nomination Form
The 2020 Conference will include an awards night hosted by Youtuber and #SmartBrownGirl Jouelzy, to celebrate all that was accomplished, learned and experienced at the conference. During the awards night we will also honor Black women who are rising stars and servant leaders in economics, public policy and related fields.

As such, we are now accepting nominations for a slate of promising Black women who will be gifted the Sadie T.M. Alexander (STMA) Award for Excellence for their contributions to the aforementioned fields.

An STMA Award for Excellence will be presented to:
  * One undergraduate student
  * One graduate student
  * One young professional/pre-doctoral researcher
  * One academic/industry professional

Individuals can nominate themselves or anyone who meets the following eligibility criteria for the awards:

Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Studies
Gift of $1,000 awarded to undergraduate student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in economics, public policy or related fields.
Eligibility Requirements
  * Identify as a Black woman/womxn
  * Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, data science, finance, or other relevant degree
  * Be in good academic standing in their major

Award for Excellence in Graduate Studies
Gift of $1,000 awarded to graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in economics, public policy or related fields.
Eligibility Requirements:
  * Identify as a Black woman/womxn
  * Be pursuing a Master's or doctorate degree in economics, public policy, data science, finance or other relevant degree
  * Be in good academic standing in their degree program

Outstanding Young Professional Award
Gift of $1,000 awarded to a recent graduate, young professional, or pre-doctoral researcher currently working and who has made contributions and/or professional accomplishments in economics, public policy or related fields.
Eligibility Requirements:
  * Identify as a Black woman/womxn
  * Have obtained a BA/BS in economics, public policy, data science, finance or other relevant degree
  * Currently work in and have made  professional accomplishments in one of the fields mentioned above or other relevant field

Award for Excellence in Academic Scholarship and Mentorship
Gift of $1,000 awarded to an academic/industry professional in economics, public policy or related fields, who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship as well as made significant contributions to mentorship and increasing Black women’s engagement in these fields.
Eligibility Requirements:
  * Identify as a Black woman/womxn
  * Have a PhD in economics, public policy, data science, finance or other relevant degree
  * Have at least 5 years of research or teaching experience in the fields mentioned above
  * Possess a demonstrated commitment to mentorship and building up the next generation of black women in one of the fields mentioned above or other relevant field
