Forest City Bike Polo is excited to announce our first ever Bike Polo tournament, Forest City Frenzy!
- 3v3 ABC Shuffle
- A one day tournament with round-robin style qualifier and single elimination finals.
- We are planning on limiting the teams to 8 teams (24 players).
Tournament is hosted at Silverwoods Arena, where we have been playing weekly all winter:
- Full sized hockey rink.
- Surface is smooth concrete, it is not the slipperiest surface but not the grippiest either.
- Come prepared with hockey tape available for adding grip to mallet heads
Housing is limited, we will try to accommodate everyone, but we are a small club! House nearby with plenty of room, you might just need to bring a sleeping bag.
Registration Deadline is February 19th. A lottery will occur on Monday February 20th. We reserve the right to balance the ABC skill levels in advance of the lottery.
We've decided to ensure local players have a chance to participate:
- 9 guaranteed player slots for Forest City Bike Polo
We've also wanted to make sure there was room for regional clubs who have supported our Indoor Bike Polo project this winter:
- 6 guaranteed player slots for KDub Bike Polo
- 3 guaranteed player slots for Buffalo Bike Polo
The lottery will start with allocating these guaranteed slots, from there we will fill the remaining 6 players. We may extend the tournament field depending on the response we get!
$50 person- covers rental cost and a small budget for snacks and some pizza.
