About this course
Who is this training for?
This training is suitable for all people and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. It provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.
What does the training cover?
The learning outcomes below describe the skills and knowledge you will gain:
• Be aware of safeguarding legislation and guidance
• Be aware of key safeguarding roles
• Be aware of different types of abuse
• Be aware of signs and indicators of abuse and neglect
• Know what action to take if a safeguarding concern arises
How does distance learning work?
You'll train as part of a group, via zoom. Much like a standard training course., you'll receive an introduction and cover key topics. You will be fully supported by your trainer throughout.
What do I need to bring?
A pen & paper (a drink if you wish).
You will be provided with the latest electronic learning resources, including presentations, videos and web links as your main point of reference.
