UFP and the 8th Principle
The Canadian Unitarian Council is considering the addition of an 8th principle, which currently reads: ...to affirm and promote... "individual and communal action that accountably dismantles racism and other oppressions in ourselves and in our institutions”.
A national vote is scheduled for late November, and congregations are encouraged to send feedback by October 20...feedback that will help to determine the language of the final motion.
UFP's Anti-Racism Action Group, while in support of the motion as it stands, would like to gather a broader response from our congregation. This survey will help us to determine what you need to know, or what you would like to contribute to what we share with the CUC.
Please help us to determine how best to involve and include the UFP congregation.
