Students attending in-person classes must provide proof of up-to-date Covid-19 vaccination (booster required) and must wear face masks during class. No exceptions.
This two week intensive will offer different levels of interpretation, keeping in mind the different familiarity of Yorchhā that people are entering with. Whether this is your first experience with Yorchhā or you have been practicing for multiple summers, we will meet you where you are to steer you towards individual excellence.
Yorchhā combines movement principles from Odissi, the traditional Indian dance technique, from Chhau, the East Indian martial art, and from Vinyasa Yoga.
When: Monday–Friday, June 13th to June 24th, 2022, 10am–1pm CST
Community Showings on June 24th, 12:00pm and 7:00pm
Ways to Participate:
1) In-person at the Shawngram Institute (Limited Capacity) $475.00*
2) Remotely, Via Zoom: $400.00*
Attendance
Participants are encouraged to attend all 10 Intensive sessions, including the showing.
Attire
Yorchhā™ is a barefeet dance technique. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.
Tuition
The fee for this intensive is $475.00 if participating in person and $400.00 if participating via zoom.
Deposit
A $50.00, non-refundable deposit is required from all accepted participants by Monday, June 6, 2022. The deposit will be deducted from the total tuition due. Please make check or money order payable to Ananya Dance Theatre and mail to P. O. Box 2427, Minneapolis MN 55402-0427.
All tuition balances are due no later than, Monday, June 13th, 2022. These payments may be mailed to P. O. Box 2427, Minneapolis MN 55402-0427. Once paid, tuition will not be refunded or pro-rated.
