CDLE is working to identify funding streams to pay direct compensation to teachers; however, until sustainable funding can be established for the program, businesses are asked to consider providing externs with a stipend for their work, which is calculated at a rate of $25 to $35/hour.

Please indicate the maximum total amount you will be able to compensate each extern. By financial necessity, placements will be prioritized where capacity exists to provide teacher compensation, though we will try to accommodate all interested hosts.  *
To showcase successes from the Externship program, externs will need to take photos and/or short videos of their experience. Please share any requirements or policies of your organization we should be aware of that may impact this.
