RAISE Texas is offering all Texas-based attendees conference registration at no cost, which provides a $300 per person scholarship. Additionally, RAISE Texas is offering a limited number of travel scholarships based on travel distance and the number of individuals from your organization who attend both days of the conference. Scholarship checks will be distributed at the conference on Friday, June 14.
This application should be completed by a representative of your organization who can list everyone who will be attending for both days and ensure the organization will fulfill the scholarship commitments. Please note that every individual attending the conference needs to complete our registration form: https://bit.ly/VITAregistration.
Please note: At this time, we have a limited number of travel scholarships ranging from $100 - $500 per organization to help with travel and hotel costs for the conference. We will prioritize scholarships for smaller organizations and organizations traveling more than 275 miles to Houston, but we encourage you to apply in the event we can secure more funding for travel scholarships. Please remember that the VITA conference is free for Texas VITA program staff and represents a $300 scholarship for everyone on your team who attends.
The deadline to apply for these scholarships is Monday, May 20, and we encourage you to make hotel reservations as soon as possible and no later than Monday, May 27, to take advantage of the hotel discount rates. Note that some of the hotel discounts expire as early as Wednesday, May 22.
