Equity Pricing Overview
Full-priced registration for the CCA Cohort Program for 2022 is $895 USD.
To increase access to this program, an equity pricing discount is available that reduces the registration cost to $195 USD.
I offer a discounted price rather than full scholarship in order to encourage more active participation in the program, and to help cover some of the baked-in long-term costs of running the CCA. (Cohort participants also become members of the CCA community, which has ongoing operating costs.)
Eligibility
Anyone can request the equity pricing discount. I only anticipate rejecting requests from people who aren't taking the process seriously, or whom I believe aren't a good fit for the CCA program in general based on their goals or experience.
Good reasons to request equity pricing include: long-term loss of income due to disability or illness, vast economic disparity between your local currency and the U.S. dollar, caretaking duties that reduce your earning potential, or otherwise lacking the financial resources to participate due to systemic inequity or circumstances in your life.
Bad reasons to request equity pricing include: being a white cis person experiencing short-term financial turbulence — for example, being laid off from a big tech job with six months of severance pay — who does not otherwise experience significant economic inequity.

About This Process
This form is designed to be completed by the specific individual who would like to participate in an upcoming CCA cohort at the discounted equity pricing level of $195 USD. Hopefully, that's you.
Share as much or as little detail as you'd like, but don't feel like you have to prostrate yourself or tell a sob story. Just let me, Scott, know why you'd like to participate in CCA, confirm on scout's honor that the standard price is inaccessible and will remain so for you in the near future, and, if you'd like, tell me a bit about yourself and your situation.
If accepted...
If your request is granted, you'll receive a note from me with a discount code to use during registration for any currently open cohorts. A limited number of discounts are available for each cohort on a first-come first-serve basis. If accepted, you should try to register as soon as you know you'll be able to participate in a given cohort. At least two equity discounts are available for each cohort, but I may quietly make more available as the start date of a cohort nears based on my assessment of the pace of registrations.
Notifications
If there's an available cohort, I'll be reviewing applications every few days and notifying folks as we go. If all equity spots have been registered for, and there are no cohorts with registration opening up soon, I'll likely close this application process for a bit.
