2022 Winter Weekends Staff Application
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Staff for Heritage Reservation's upcoming Winter Weekends. Winter Weekends at are a fun opportunity to help Cub Scouts and their families enjoy a weekend of wintry fun in the great outdoors.

Staff members who work at least two full weekends will be eligible to receive modest compensation in addition to room and board during each scheduled weekend. Staff working only one weekend will be considered volunteers. Staff who cannot stay for the duration of a weekend shall be considered volunteers for that particular weekend.

All staff must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America (or be willing to register as members of the Boy Scouts of America), have current BSA Youth Protection Training, and provide current Pennsylvania required background clearances.  All required paperwork and training must be submitted to the Laurel Highlands Council prior to arriving at Camp on the first Winter Weekend through the WorkBright portal. All Staff must turn in a BSA Health and Medical Record Form (Parts A & B) upon arriving at Camp on their first Winter Weekend.

We are looking for staff on the following weekends:
January 21-23, 2022                 Winter Weekend I
January 28-30, 2022                 Winter Weekend II
February 4-6, 2022                   Winter Weekend III
February 11-13, 2022                         Winter Weekend IV
February 18-20, 2022                 Winter Weekend V
February 25-27, 2022                 Winter Weekend VI

Staff is expected to arrive by 06:00 p.m. on Friday each weekend, and should not expect to depart before 11:00 a.m. on Sunday each weekend.

We have the following positions available for staff each weekend:
Instructor (15+): 10 Positions Available $75/weekend
Senior Instructor (18+): 08 Positions Available $100/weekend
Commissioner (15+): 02 Positions Available $75/weekend
Senior Commissioner (18+): 03 Positions Available $100/weekend
Health Officer (18+): 01 Position Available         $100/weekend
Business Manager (21+):         01 Position Available                        $200/weekend
Program Director (21+): 01 Position Available         $200/weekend

Due to interacting with numerous program participants both indoors and outdoors, Winter Weekend staff are highly encouraged to get both the COVID-19 and current Flu vaccinations.  Weekends will follow CDC masking requirements at the time of the event.

Interviews will begin in mid-November 2021.
