Family Service Project Process
"Encouraging a Christlike heart in our children starts with being authentic in our faith, modeling Christ's love and allowing our children to experience Him. Then they can respond to what He is doing in their lives."

Each family is asked to complete a service project TOGETHER. Equally as important as the act of service is journeying through the process as a FAMILY.

1. PRAY/DISCERN
Think, pray and talk about who or what in your life needs help and support? Is there someone in your family, your neighborhood or community? Is there a community need that isn’t being supported or served?

2. PLAN/PREPARE
What can we do as a family to help? What are the gifts each member of our family has to offer? How will we use these gifts to serve together?

3. SERVE
This is the exciting part! As a FAMILY you get to put your plan into action and serve. Give everyone a task in your family. Don’t miss out on the teachable moments.

4. REFLECT
After you have served, take time to share your thoughts and feelings with one another. How did it feel to serve? What would you do differently? What impact did your service have on others? How will you continue to serve others?

5. CELEBRATE & SHARE YOUR STORY
Take time to celebrate the completed service project! Then, create a short video or complete the “WE SERVED” form as a family below.
