2023 New Zealand Water Polo National Awards  - Volunteer of the Year
Please complete the Volunteer of the Year nomination on the below form.

Nominations: 
  • Nominations are invited from anyone including individuals, Clubs and Centres. It is suggested Clubs nominate those who have won their Club awards.
  • The nomination must be completed on the below form with any supporting documentation attached. 
  • The nominee must be a member of a water polo club which is affiliated with Water Polo New Zealand. 
  • If the nomination does not meet the award criteria it will not be accepted. 
  • Nominations must relate to the 2023 season.

Award Criteria:
  1. Demonstration of the volunteer sharing their time, effort and skills in support of their club.
  2. Evidence of the impact and outcome of this contribution e.g. enhancing the enjoyment or development of participants, furthering the success and growth of the club, raising the profile of water polo or their club, and/or bringing honour and respect to the water polo community. Both short term and long term results should be considered. 
  3. Shown commitment to the development of the sport 
  4. Description of how they share their time, efforts and skills to lead the positive impacts above being achieved. 
  5. Demonstration of them living and delivering against New Zealand Water Polo Values.

Nominations must be received by New Zealand Water Polo by Monday, 19th February 2024

There are 3 Finalists per category.
Finalists will be announced by Friday 1st March 2024.
Finalists will be notified and their names published by NZWP
Finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held after the AGM 
Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony (immediately after the AGM)  on Saturday, 6 April 2024.
