Thank you for your interest in Science for Georgia and AAAS' Local Science Engagement Network (LSEN). We are collecting more information about those who would like to be more involved.

Sci4Ga’s mission is to improve communication between scientists and the public; to increase public engagement with science, and to advocate for the responsible use of science in public policy.

Sci4Ga and LSEN are working together to elevate the voice of science and the use of evidence in civic society and policy discussion. Turning science intro meaningful action.
 
The goals of the Georgia Affiliate are:
1. Build a network of individuals who care about science and creating an atmosphere for meaningful dialogue.
2. Identify and amplify science and technology community needs and shared goals; providing a place for concerned individuals to effectively advocate.
3. Provide a way for scientists and non-scientists to identify important issues and work together to create proactive solutions.

We will meet these goals by building a large network and then engaging with this network via:
1. Outreach events.
2. Providing reliable information.
3. Advocacy and communication training.
4. Advocacy information and campaigns.

The information collected will be used to:
1. Populate our network database.
2. Understand the coverage and interest areas of the network.
3. Make sure we only contact people who may be interested in specific things (cut down on the email you get!)
