Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Application
CIT’s are youth assigned to share responsibility in leadership roles with an experienced adult counselor as a mentor. CIT’s must be at least 15 years of age at the time Jr Camp begins. CIT programs encourage the development of camp leadership roles.
Specific Responsibilities - under the direction of the cabin counselor:
• Assist cabin counselor as needed
• Help create a cabin community
• Be sensitive to the needs of individual campers
• Have an opportunity to teach classes or assist in worships
• Mentorship by their counselors
• Lead campers in cabin activities such as skits, cleanup, cabin
devotions, and classes
