PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!
If you have a workshop for adults that you would like to offer at the Into the Wild Beltane Fire Festival 2020, we would love to hear from you!
This year, we need you to be aware that we have a new policy of asking for a deposit of £50 from all workshop leaders. This is to ensure commitment from you, which contributes to the smooth running of the festival and means that potential workshop participants can be sure that their chosen workshop will be going ahead. We only take this from you if your application is successful, and we will refund it straight after the festival. We use Paypal for these transactions.
Workshops are ninety minute sessions, indoors (e.g. lucid dreaming) and outdoors (e.g. foraging). We ask that each workshop leader leaves the last 10-15 minutes of their 90 minute session for packing up and the next leader to arrive and prepare.
Please fill out this application form, but before applying please take into consideration:
•
The festival starts at 10am on Friday 8th May and finishes 1pm Monday 11th May 2020. Please note that this year's Beltane festival does not take place on Beltane itself!
•
If your application is accepted, you do not need purchase a general admission ticket. Your workshop contribution entitles you to your ticket only. We would love to welcome your family for free but there are too many of you!
• Workshop leaders offer two workshops in exchange for their ticket. These will be two different workshops rather than a repeat.
•
The workshop description and workshop leader biography that you provide in this application will be posted on our website and/or Facebook pages, if your application is selected. Please use full sentences and proof-read this application, so that it best reflects your intentions.
•
All workshop venues are grass or matted only.
•
Our workshop venues include tipis, gers, yurts and canvas marquees. These are decorated by our dedicated team, but you need to provide any special equipment that your workshop participants require.
•
Workshops are anticipated to have approximately 70-100 participants.
•
You can arrive from Thursday at 10am and must leave by 6pm on Monday. You cannot bring your vehicle into the main arena.
•
Only one of our workshop venues has electricity and a sound system (this is our evening main stage music venue). Only workshops that are dance/movement based will be timetabled in this venue and you will need to bring your laptop to plug into the system. If you are not scheduled in this venue but would like to bring music to your workshop, please bring your own fully charged laptop and portable speaker.
• All of our workshops are free of cost to the guests, unless you are offering a craft where guests make something to take home. If you are a crafts workshop leader, please include your pricing in the application.
•
We ask every workshop leader to arrive at least 2 hours prior to their workshop and to visit the Information Tent on arrival to register their presence. This is important so that we can keep a record of workshop leader arrivals and maintain a smooth running of workshops. Arrival instructions will be sent to you if your workshops are selected.
•
This is a fantastic opportunity to share your practice and gifts with a large number people interested in what you do, so we encourage you to bring any leaflets, flyers or information about your forthcoming retreats and services. However, if you are running workshops simply in exchange for a ticket, that's fine too!
•
Please copy and paste your workshop descriptions and biography before submitting this application. We always have lots of emails from workshops leader who forget to do this and it becomes quite a task! :-)
•
If you can no longer offer your workshops, once it has been accepted, please let us know as soon as possible on
in2wildworkshops@gmail.com.
All applications are collated and we inform everyone whether they have been successful or not around March 31st 2020.
If you have any questions, do get in touch:

We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for wanting to share your gifts here with us at Into the Wild.
