SSC Student Nomination Form - English
Dear Students,

The School Site Council (SSC) is a committee composed of parents, teachers and classified employees, and students at the middle school level who oversee the implementation of our school program. North Mountain Middle School is accepting nominations for student members for our Site Council.

The position of being a representative for student members is a two-year commitment that will be:
    - August (2021) - June (2022)
    - August (2022) - June (2023)

SSC serves students and the school by:
    - Developing the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with teachers and support staff;
    - Implementing the SPSA and putting it into practice for student learning;
    - Monitoring and evaluating the plan to see if it is helping all students;
    - Verifying and ensuring that money expenditures in the SPSA are used to improve academic performance of all students.
SSC student members are expected to:
    - Attend all meetings-12/7/21, 3/8/22, 4/5/22, & 5/17/22
    - Be a representative for the parents of the school.
    - Learn about the SPSA through training provided each year by our district.

If interested, your name will be placed on a ballot for an election. Additionally, student members will have the opportunity to elect student representatives on the School Site Council. The School Site Council is an excellent opportunity for students, parents and school staff to work together and plan for the academic achievement of our students. We encourage you to be involved in your education. Feel free to contact our parent liaison Cynthia Dominguez if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Margarita Lanier
Principal
