The F.I.R.E. Awards, which stands for 'Females in Recognition of Excellence', was created to bridge the generational gap between young women and community elders by promoting unity, self-expression and the restoration of power amongst women.

At the F.I.R.E Awards we honor seven women in the community and six students in the community in seven different categories. Often these nominees may not have the recognition they deserve. They do the work without expecting anything in exchange. Your nomination of adults &/or students will help us identify honorees for this event. You can nominate each person in one category ONLY however you can nominate multiple people. If we feel they better suit a different category we will make that adjustment.

We will research and vet each nominee and then select one adult and one youth in each category. Past honorees are encouraged to nominate someone and are not eligible personally for re-entry. The date will be announced.
