Have you ever wanted to get more insights in the process of producing and recording?

If so, apply to Ethno Studio and experience Ethno in a professional music studio from 15th until 23rd October 2022 in Germany, Limburgerhof.

We invite every participant to bring traditional music from their cultural background and to share it in a peer-to-peer process with the whole group. Additionally to learning music by ear, you will also learn to arrange, perform and record music under the guidance of our experienced mentor team. We want to convey technical skills in audio engineering and to enable musicians to record and produce music by themselves.
Prior to our time in the music studio, participants are required to attend 6 online workshops dealing with the basics of audio engineering. These workshops will be held online on a weekly basis starting in September and are also open for people who cannot come to the studio.

The places in the music studio are limited to 12 participants, so be quick to apply!

Ethno Studio will happen from the 15th - 23rd October 2022 in Limburgerhof, near Mannheim in Germany.

Address: 67117 Limburgerhof, Germany
Closest airport is Frankfurt/Main (FRA). From there you can easily take a train to Limburgerhof train station. You will receive more detailed travel information from us once you are selected.

Participation contribution for musicians and dancers:

Assess yourself how much you want/can contribute for your participation.

You can define your own contribution disregarding our suggested rates depending on your personal financial situation.
Please be aware that our costs for a single participant are about 800€.
Without our sponsors our camp would not be possible.
If you are selected, we will send you our bank account details.

Generosity Rate - 500 € (or more)
This covers one participant’s food and lodging at the youth hostel, transportation during camp and artistic mentors & organising team remuneration. You would also support participants without money.

Middle Rate – 250 €
This amount covers basic costs and allows only artistic mentors to receive a basic remuneration for their work.
We acknowledge the geographical distance of participants and travel costs. We offer reduced fee suggestions for participants traveling from afar.

We suggest:
250 € for participants living in Germany
175 € for participants living in Europe

Basic Rate - 125€
This is the basic participation fee that enables us to organise Ethno Germany. If even this is too much money for you, please contact us.
We acknowledge the geographical distance of participants and travel costs. We offer reduced fee suggestions for participants traveling from afar.

Important notes

None of the participation contributions include your costs of transport to and from Limburgerhof.

Your place is only guaranteed when you transfer your participation fee to our bank account or send us proof of your flight tickets to Germany.

In the case of cancellation, we will only reimburse the participation fee if it is done 30 days before the beginning of the program. To cancel your participation you must send an email with your bank details to studiogermany@ethno.world

The application deadline is 21st August.
