Dear 4th Grade Band Parent/Guardian,

Congratulations to you and your child on a spectacular first band concert! This concert will remain in your child’s memory forever - I still remember the exhilarating feeling I had after my first band concert when I was in 4th grade!

Our band program in Stewart School consists of two parts; 4th grade, where students learn the basics of their instrument, and 5th grade, where students continue developing those skills. I would encourage all students who completed 4th grade band to continue into 5th grade band. Please be advised, once a student does not participate in the band they can not rejoin in later years.

Please view the attached videos about the benefits of taking band and discuss this with your child to see if they would like to join the 5th grade band next year.
