The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects the online privacy of children under the age of 13 and requires web-based service providers to obtain parental consent prior to the collection, use, and disclosure of that child's personal information, even for some educational sites. I use a variety of instructional websites for learning Spanish to keep the class interesting and interactive for students, and to assess students' listening and speaking skills in Spanish. Please check the boxes for the websites below that you give permission for your child to use for Spanish class. *If you do not allow your child to use Flipgrid, you will need to have another resource for your child to record his/her speaking tasks. *

Quizlet.com. This site will have all of our vocabulary lists for the semester. Students will play games to learn the words.

Edpuzzle.com. This site has videos in Spanish with questions for students to show that they understand what they are hearing.

Flipgrid.com. This site is for me to assess students' speaking skills. Students record short videos in Spanish responding to a prompt (they don't have to show their face if they don't want to) .
