Theatre 101 for Teens - Winter Break

This 5 day winter break theatre program for teens will introduce all aspects of the world of theatre to participants aged 13-17.

Sessions will be held in person at Carrollwood Players Theatre with strict health and safety protocols in place.

Students will have fun and learn about all aspects of live theatre with Jim Russell, Managing Director of Carrollwood Players, and daily guest artists.

Topics will include:
Acting
Improv
Directing
Stage Managing
Musical Theatre
Technical Theatre and Design
The Business of Theatre
And More!

Each day will feature opportunities to perform AND participate hands on with technical theatre/stagecraft projects connected with real productions going on at Carrollwood Players.

Schedule:
Saturday, December 26th - 11 am - 2 pm
Sunday, December 27th - 11 am - 2 pm
Monday, December 28th - 11 am - 2 pm
Tuesday, December 29th - 11 am - 2 pm
Wednesday, December 30th - 11 am - 2 pm

Class size is limited to 15 students

Cost: $75

Accepted participants will receive instructions on how to complete payment.

Please complete the online application below, which includes a short essay question.

Participants will be selected by the instructor based on their short essay response.

Participants are expected to attend all sessions.
