Aloha kākou! We are thrilled to launch our second annual Hawaii State Elementary STEM Expo! We know that students have growing passions for science early and we would like to give them an opportunity to embrace those curiosities, develop scientific inquiry, and share their scientific discoveries on a larger public forum. The expo will be virtual and open for public viewing from
May 13-20, 2023. We eventually hope to bring the expo together with our Hawaii State Science & Engineering Fair for an inclusive celebration of STEM among Hawaii's youths.
All students in grades K-5 at any Hawaii public, private, or home school are eligible to participate. Students may participate individually, as a team, or as a classroom. The Hawaii Academy of Science, along with several of our collaborating agencies, will be awarding prizes to projects selected by our silent voters. The Elementary STEM Expo is a free event and participation will be virtual.
Please check out 2022 Hawaii Elementary STEM Expo (
