In the coming year we’ll be seeing a change of officers
as I wrap up my final year as Meets Secretary. As such this forum is going to
be a little more open than it has been over the last 3 years. I wanting to give
more freedom to suggestions from membership as well as enabling the new meets
secretary to be able to place their own stamp on the year ahead rather than
just implementing plans already decided and in place.
All the dates and weekends are confirmed so you’re
able to work out which meets you’ll be able to attend so this forum will give
you the chance to have your say in where we go on the meets you’ll be getting
on.
We’ve already got some exciting things lined up for
next year including a trip to Lundy which has been a long time coming. We’ll
have a lot of our usual staple meets but there still plenty of room to get
imaginative and explore some new areas.
This is where you all come in. Please take 5 or 10
minutes to make some suggestions and where possible even offer to help organise
those meets.
As always we have to give a huge thanks to all the
meet leaders that enabled the 2023 meets to happen by putting in the hard work
and time. If you haven’t organised a meet before then maybe this is the year
you want to get involved. Don’t feel nervous if it’s your first time. We’re all
here to assist and help you so you’ll never have to do anything on your own.
If you aren't totally sure about dates etc. and
want more time to complete the forum then fill out what you can and submit it
at the end. You'll be provided with a link for editing so just keep this
somewhere that you can come back to.
Deadlines??
Ideally we would like this to be completed by mid November so I’ll put a
closing date for the forum as Friday 17th November. This really won’t
take long to complete and it’s really appreciated to help us deliver a calendar
of meets that you all want and will attend.
As always I really appreciate all your input.
