The MAACBA Board of Directors and 2023 Conference Campus Host seek proposals for Concurrent Sessions!

Please keep in mind that Concurrent Session presenters are expected to pay the conference fee and are not reimbursed for any travel expenses.

Note to Sponsors and Vendors: this session proposal form is for MAACBA members working in higher education institutions. For sponsor speaking engagements and sponsor concurrent sessions, please check in with Jennifer Maden, MAACBA Annual Conference Chair, at maden@rowan.edu.

Concurrent Session Format

Typically 1-2 other concurrent session(s) running at same time
Approximately 45 minutes, no breaks
Can be a single speaker or group of speakers

Interactive Workshop - structured facilitated activities, explore a problem and its solutions

Moderated Panel Discussion - experts share and build upon each other’s experiences ~35 minutes ~Q&A 10 minutes

Demonstration - exhibit practical applications with practical examples

Straight Presentation - speaker(s) plus visual presentation ~35 minutes ~Q&A 10 minutes

Lively Discussion – a brief presentation ~-15 minutes then moderated discussion and Q&A with audience ~30 minutes

Poster Presentations - visually display ideas (showcased in an area with other posters)
