As an outdoor education charity, we work hard to make our service as accessible to as many young people as possible. We part-fund places for disadvantaged children, through our bursary scheme, in the hope that no child or young person misses out on the opportunity to access and benefit from outdoor education at Barnstondale.
In this application we would like for you to share some insight in to how our
support would impact the lives of the children and young people you are seeking support for. Information shared with us will help us raise more funds to support you and other youth organisations, to the best of our ability, now and in future.
Application guidance:
- This application should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
- Applications should be completed by an organisational lead or member of the school Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Information given in this application could be used in our bid writing to secure further financial support.
- Our bursary fund isn’t unlimited, so please think carefully about which young people would most benefit or who would not be able to attend without this financial support.
Important Information.
Applications for our Bursary Scheme are usually replied to within 3 months of receiving the application. The level of support given is reliant on how much funding we have managed to secure. We will prioritise financial support for people/groups who are from underserved communities. This could include disadvantage for social, physical, economic or community reasons. Our bursary support is usually between 10% discount off an individual's net total visit cost, up to a maximum of 50%, where need is demonstrated.
Previous bursary recipients can apply again for a bursary after 12 months. Previous receipt of a bursary does not mean that you will be automatically eligible to receive one in the future.
