DLLG 2022 Elections
The Nominating Committee (Lew Killmer, Ken Branner, Marcia Scott) met electronically on August 23, 2021. They presented the following names of candidates to be submitted for election at the January 27, 2022 meeting of the Delaware League of Local Governments, as approved by the Executive Committee at its meeting of September 23, 2021. Because the January 27, 2022 DLLG Dinner Meeting has been cancelled, DLLG’s membership will vote to approve the following slate of candidates electronically:

Ronald Belinko           Town of Millville                                    Term Expired

Nickolaus Smith         Town of Clayton                                    Replace Archie Campbell (now Vice-President)

Bill West                      Town of Georgetown                            Replace David Genshaw (term expired)

According to DLLG's Bylaws (Article VII - Voting), "...the representatives of each member town, city, or county in good standing shall cast collectively one vote. A majority of the votes cast shall be necessary for a decision." Therefore, please forward this form to your local government's designated voting representative. The representative shall use this form to caste a vote for EACH of the nominated candidates no later than NOON on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Candidate - Ron Belinko
Ron Belinko is the Mayor of the Town of Millville. He was appointed on 1/28/21 to replace the unexpired term of Walt Curran until 12/31/21. Mayor Belinko is currently serving as a DLLG Executive Committee member and wishes to serve a two-year term, which will expire on 12/31/23.

Candidate - Nickolaus Smith  
Nick Smith is the Mayor of the Town of Clayton. He was nominated by the DLLG Nominating Committee to replace City of Milford Mayor Archie Campbell, who is now serving as DLLG's Vice-President. Upon election, Mayor Smith's two-year term will expire 12/31/23.

Candidate - Bill West
Bill West is the Mayor of the Town of Georgetown.  He was nominated by the DLLG Nominating Committee to replace City of Seaford Mayor David Genshaw, whose term expired on 12/31/21 and has decided not to seek another term. Upon election, Mayor West's two-year term will expire 12/31/23.
