Employer Veteran Readiness Assessment
DESIGNATION PROGRAM FOR ORGANIZATIONS committed to the hiring and career success of our nations warriors.

VETS - Beyond The Uniform has developed a designation program for employers that meet the standards to be recognized as a “Veteran Friendly”, “Veteran Ready”, or “Veteran Focused” organization.

General Criteria:
- U.S. based organization with a minimum of 2 employees.  
- Committed to hiring military veterans
- On-going commitment to veteran career success

The Assessment is divided into five sections:
1. Introduction (this section)

2. Organization & Contact Information.  
We collect this information so that we can contact you to clarify any answers during the assessment review and to notify you of your Designation.  In addition, this information allows us to aggregate your data with other organizations for identifying best practices.  No data collected is shared however, we do share contact and Designation level with our partner organizations.

3. Veteran Friendly
This initial designation is focused on the employers military veteran hiring and retention initiatives.  Questions in the section require a simple yes/no/maybe response.  At the end of this section you have the option to submit the form for review at this level or you may continue on to the next Designation section.  Estimated completion time: 10 min.

4. Veteran Ready
For this designation, employers are asked to provide data on their military hiring and retention efforts. Organizations must also meet Veteran Friendly Requirements to be considered for this designation.  At the end of this section you have the option to submit the form for review at this level or you may continue on to the next Designation section.  Estimated completion time: 1 + hours

5. Veteran Focused
For this designation, employers will be asked to describe in detail their efforts to successfully attract, hire and retain military veterans.  At this level, employers should have implemented robust on-boarding, integration and mentorship programs, efforts to bridge cultural divides, veteran specific training for recruiters and staff as well as utilizing their existing veteran employees in the process.  Employers must also meet Veteran Friendly & Veteran Ready Requirements to be considered for this designation. Estimated completion time: 6-8 hours

Note that nearly every question requires an answer in order to advance to the next section.  If you do not have an answer, indicate that in your response.  

Your completed assessment will be reviewed by the VETS - Beyond the Uniform team.  You will receive an acknowledgement of our receipt of the assessment.  Review and notification of the Designation earned could take up to 2 weeks.
