About Applied Epi:
Applied Epi is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that is leading public health's transition to R. Our free
Epidemiologist R Handbook has been used over 1.2 million times by 750,000 people, and we have delivered R courses to epis from dozens of health agencies including the US CDC, European CDC, Doctors without Borders, WHO, and the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP).
Course overview: A focus on practical, public health case studies emphasizing data cleaning and making plots, tables, and automated reports. Sessions include live coding demonstrations, lectures, interactive facilitated coding exercises, and unlimited 1-on-1 support meetings with instructors. You can read more in

Schedule: The classroom instruction will consist of 10 virtual, synchronous sessions of 3.5 hours each. Before the course, you are expected to schedule a 1-on-1 preparation call with an instructor to verify that your software installations (R, RStudio, and RTools) and download of course materials is complete. Each participant will receive 1 hour of follow-up with an instructor, to be scheduled after the course finished.

Prerequisites: Participants are required to be very comfortable using Microsoft Excel for cleaning and analysis, and to have exposure to statistical tools such as SPSS or EpiInfo. Experience with SAS, Stata, or Python is not required but will be beneficial. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please discuss with us.
Price per seat: 18 seats are available for immediate reservation at USD $ 975.00. Payment is preferred by bank transfer (accepted in USD, Euro, or GBP).
