Terms of Reference for the Selection of a Graphic Designer – Solid Papers

Background and Context:
ANND is an independent, democratic, and civil network, established in 1997, aimed at strengthening and empowering civil society and promoting the values of democracy, respect for human rights, and sustainable development in Arab countries. This is all consistent with the International Bill of Human Rights and the freedom and dignity of the individual, respect for pluralism, equitable distribution of wealth, preservation of the cultural heritage of the region, and to achieve the development priorities of local communities.

ANND consists of 9 national networks and 23 NGOs operating in 12 Arab countries.

ANND’s work is organized according to three main areas:

1. Strengthening the capacity and the role of CSOs in advocacy and lobbying in the field of economic and social policy-making in the Arab region;
2. Strengthening the spaces available for CSOs' participation in economic and social policy-making at the national, regional, and international levels;
3. Promoting and developing the knowledge materials available in the Arab region related to the role of civil society.

As part of the Solid Project, ANND produced three research papers in Arabic and translated into English. We are recruiting a graphic designer to deliver 6 visually appealing designs for the papers in Arabic and English in PDF format that will be posted on the website.


Objectives:
1. Develop a visually compelling design that effectively communicates the key findings, concepts, and data presented in three specified papers from the Solid project.
2. Ensure consistency in design elements and branding guidelines across all reports.
3. Deliver high-quality, print-ready, and digital versions of the papers suitable for various platforms and mediums.

Scope of Work:
1. Review the content of the three specified papers provided by the ANND's programs and Communications team.
2. Ensure that all design elements adhere to the branding guidelines and visual identity of the Solid project.
3. Deliver final versions of the papers in both editable source files (e.g., Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop) and high-resolution, print-ready formats (e.g., PDF). 

Deliverables:
- Six sets of papers (3 in Arabic and 3 in English), each corresponding to one of the specified papers from the Solid project.
- Editable source files for each paper (e.g., Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop).
- High-resolution, print-ready versions of each infographic in PDF format.

Timeline:
The graphic designer will be required to complete the design work before June 30, 2024.

Qualifications:
- Creativity and innovative design skills
- Experience (academic and professional) with design software.
- Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
- Communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines

Proposal Submission:
Interested auditing firms or individuals are invited to submit their proposals, which should include the following:
1. A cover letter expressing interest in conducting the audit.
2. A detailed description of the firm's profile, including relevant experience and qualifications of the auditing team.
3. A proposed timeline for the audit process, including key milestones.
4. A breakdown of the audit fees and expenses.
5. Proof of a valid certification.

Fees: $4,000
Terms of Payment: To be paid via bank letter
