Dates: Tuesday, May 30 - Friday, June 23 (Tuesday - Friday)
Where: FGMS 2023 Summer School will take place in the middle school building. Students cannot be dropped off before 7:45 am. Students attending only Session 1 should be picked up at 11:00 am. All other students must be picked up promptly at 2:30 pm.
Hours: Session 1 - 8:00 am -11:00 am
Session 2 – 11:30 am- 2:30 pm
Meals: Grab-and-go breakfast will be available in the mornings. Students staying for both sessions will eat lunch at 11:00 am and are encouraged to bring their own. Meals will be provided at no cost to all students during summer school.
Transportation: Bus service will
only be provided to and from Legacy Early Learning Academy in the morning and afternoon.
Students cannot be dropped off before 7:45 am and MUST be transported off campus at 2:30 pm. Class Offerings:
Session 1: Morning Classes5th Grade Transition
This course is designed to introduce incoming 5th graders to middle school in order to make the transition in the fall easier. Students will be led through various aspects of the middle school experience, to include changing classes, introduction to electives, and building tours.
6th Grade Enrichment
Incoming 6th graders taking this course will rotate through academic and exploratory activities including reading, physical education, math, and science.
Credit Recovery (7th & 8th)
This course is for students who have failed a course and are in need of making up credit. This is in-person/seated during the entire summer school morning session.
Strength & Conditioning (7th & 8th) This course will alternate between strength training with Coach Voorhis and general conditioning with a PE coach. Student athletes are encouraged to attend this program.
