Cornerstones of Science: Identifying Community, Equity and Engagement Excellence In Libraries
STEM Equity Framework: Building Equitable, Inclusive Library Services That Address Community Needs
Cornerstones of Science and the Maryland, Idaho and Connecticut state library partners, were recently awarded a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian IMLS grant (250085-OLS-21) entitled STEM Equity Framework: Building Equitable, Inclusive Library Services That Address Community Needs.   The goal of the project is to work with state and public library leaders to develop a shared definition and attributes of a STEM Equity Library.  This includes developing the strategies and the training library directors need to build operational capacity that delivers intentional equitable science and technology library services able to serve all individuals and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

As a first step, they want to learn about the very good work that is already occurring throughout the country that they might learn from and build on. So, please complete this form if your library is providing excellence in either/both:
1) Adult programming and services around science-based issues of local concern (e.g. public health, water quality, food insecurity and environmental justice as examples).
2) Equitable, inclusive library programs and services for all members of the community.
