Got some spare time in the school holidays? How about exploring the island in our beautiful 'back yard', doing good, and meeting people with a passion for sustainability, conservation, and restoration.
Activities include: planting and caring for native seedlings to help restore the Island's ecology, a beach clean up, exploring the island's history, relaxing and having fun!
We will confirm the trip is going ahead and your place closer to the time, as there is a minimum and maximum number for the boat - and we'll have our eye on the weather. Please fill in the google form below, and email us if anything changes

A charter boat will leave Back Beach, Port Chalmers, near the yacht club, at 9.30am sharp and return from the island at about 3:30 pm. A pick-up from Portobello is sometimes possible, so please indicate which side you would like transport from below.
$10 for a school-aged child, and $15 for an adult for the return boat transfer. Please bring this in cash, we will collect this when you arrive on the island on behalf of the charter operator.
WHAT TO BRING
Comfortable, warm clothes, sturdy footwear/ gumboots, a packed lunch and water bottle.
