A Winter 2022 virtual speaker series and course that focuses on the historical roots and impact of race in shaping public policy in a global context.The series will bring in renowned scholar-experts, policymakers, and advocates from across the country to be in conversation with Dr. John Ciorciari (Director of the Weiser Diplomacy Center and the International Policy Center) and Ambassador Susan D. Page.
Our speakers include Dr. Brenda Plummer, Dr. Kelebogile Zvobgo, Dr. Robert Fatton, Jamil Dakwar, Gay McDougall, and others. Topics to be covered include, America and the Colonial Project; Race in the Development of the Foreign Policy Discipline; Race and the Foreign Policy Profession; Governance Interventions in the “Global South;" and Transnational Advocacy Networks and the BLM Movement.
