2021-2022 DSGRU Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to serve on the Duke Student Government Research Unit (DSGRU)!

DSGRU is DSG’s latest effort to infuse more data and evidence in the policy-making process. DSGRU will be a home for quantitatively oriented, data-driven individuals to answer some of our most pressing campus issues.

This unit of Internal and External Analysts will be commissioned concrete statements of task by student government representatives. DSGRU analysts will then gather data and conduct research on these given issues and present their findings to student government. Student government representatives will then take these results to create evidence-based policies that effectuate positive change on campus.

Two branches of DSGRU:
• Internal Unit: Conducts research on pressing issues while collaborating with DSG Senators to create short-term surveys that inform project-work.
• External Unit: Conducts research on large-scale topics to track the effectiveness of current and planned University wide initiatives.
