As dusk settles over the Gold Coast and BLEACH* draws to a close for another year, let’s celebrate together on the shore at Burleigh Heads.

From first light to last light, we’ve come full circle. Watch the full moon rise over the ocean and help us light up the coastline with fire, song and 10,000 candles. This large-scale temporal work is led by visual artist Rick Roser with light artist Kristian Baggerson.  Join us for this special ceremony under the Blue Moon as we cleanse the space that’s welcomed us, and farewell the 2021 Bleach* Festival.

Be Part of the Vision
We're looking for 100 community members to work with us to build this incredible new ephemeral artwork on the shores of Burleigh Beach.

You're invited to collaborate with light artist Kristian Baggerson to help create five large-scale mandalas using 10,000 candles.  The outcome will see a vast sea of glowing candles, set within fire and light.

PARTICIPATION SET UP TIME:
Sunday 22 August: 1pm - 4:30pm 

LIGHTING AND PERFORMANCE:
4:30pm- 6:30pm
