We greatly appreciate your interest in the Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities (BFFC) of Durham: Community Award Designation.
Who is eligible: All community based organizations and nonprofits such as, state agencies, local agencies, (inter)national organizations working locally, faith-based communities, local non-profit organizations, and others are welcome to complete this form. We also would like to hear your perspective as we work towards a safe and supportive community for all families and hope that you will complete that question at the end of the form.

Breastfeeding families are always welcome and respected. They will never be treated poorly, asked to stop breastfeeding, or asked to cover up or move.

We do not promote infant formula, coupons, or related products nor provide infant formula or other breastmilk substitutes unless instructed by the family. We do not accept gifts of infant feeding products from manufacturers nor display infant feeding products.

All lactating employees are allowed breaks to express milk or nurse their children and access to a private space for expressing milk or nursing. The space is not a bathroom; is lockable and shielded from view; includes an electrical outlet; and has hand hygiene available.

Please list a few things that you feel like your organization does really well to support breastfeeding families in Durham?

Receive information monthly about upcoming meetings and news on BFFC growth and development (approximately 1-4 emails per month).

Receive quarterly updates about the initiative and information about special events/activities (approximately 4-6 emails per year).
