Akins Football- Speed, Skill & Strength Camp
Hello Eagle Family,
Here is the 2022 camp information for this summer:
All 8th-12th grade athletes that plan on playing athletics at Akins in the fall or spring are encouraged to attend. Each athlete will undergo a 8 week training program (June 7th- July 30th, M-TH, 9-11:30am) that focuses on reducing the likelihood of injuries and improving athletic performance for the upcoming years of athletics at Akins High School. This camp will place an emphasis on speed, strength, explosive power, flexibility, conditioning & skill development. Workouts will be held in the weight room, practice fields, and track. A typical day would involve an hour in the weight room focusing on strength and explosive power and an hour outside with speed, agility & FB skill development, along with eating 2 meals daily. Athletes will be divided into their skill level groups providing an opportunity for the younger Eagles to develop necessary skills for high school athletics and older Eagles to continue their training in the summer. All athletes must have a current physical to participate in Summer activities.
