NYC NOWC #ShareMyCheck Campaign
The NYC Network of Worker Cooperatives has joined the national #ShareMyCheck campaign to encourage those in a relatively stable position to donate all or a portion of their check to people who are not eligible for these checks - those that are historically and contemporarily most impacted by economic and health crises.

ABOUT NYCNOWC's CO-OP EMERGENCY FUND
Most of the worker cooperatives in New York City are owned by immigrant women in domestic services industries (residential & commercial cleaning, child care, home healthcare, pet care). Essential domestic workers are some of the most vulnerable frontline workers during this crisis, and non-essential domestic workers (childcare, pet care, residential cleaning) have been some of the quickest to lose all forms of income. Federal and state assistance will not reach most of these immigrant families.

100% of NYCNOWC's Emergency fund will be given to worker-owners who cannot access government relief.
