Ruta del Jefe BIPOC Scholarship
Understanding that systematic racism and other injustices have created greater barriers to participation in outdoor recreation events among Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Ruta del Jefe seeks to increase access and reduce barriers of participation for up to ten participants who identify as BIPOC.

Scholarship recipients will receive free registration (including camping and food) and will not be required to participate in the fundraiser or pay the donation portion of the event.

If you identify as BIPOC and feel that this scholarship would help you gain community and a meaningful experience, please fill out this short form:

Applications are due by November 16, 2023 at 11:00 pm MST. All applicants will be notified whether they did or did not receive a scholarship by November 18. If you do not receive one of the scholarships, you will receive an email with a priority registration code for early BIPOC registration on November 18.

Entendemos que el racismo sistémico y otras injusticias han creado barreras más grandes para que las personas Negras, Indígenas, y de Color (BIPOC por sus siglas en inglés) participen en eventos de recreación al aire libre, por lo cual Ruta del Jefe busca aumentar el acceso y reducir barreras de participación para hasta diez personas que se identifiquen como BIPOC.

Lxs beneficiarios de la beca recibirán registro gratis (incluyendo comida y espacio para acampar) y no se les requerirá participar en la recaudación de fondos o pagar la donación equivalente para el evento.

Las aplicaciones deben ser enviadas antes del 16 de Noviembre de 2023 a las 11:00 pm (hora de la Cd. de México). Todxs lxs aplicantes serán informados respecto a si obtuvieron o no la beca para el día 18 de Noviembre. En caso de no recibir la beca, recibirás un correo electrónico con un código para tener registro prioritario el 18 de Noviembre.
