2024 STEM Summer Institute Student Application
STEM Summer Institute is CAP & GOWN Project's two week summer ACT and college readiness program. This year's program runs 2 weeks, June 3-7th, and July 8-12, 2024. This year's camp will be hosted by the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) College of Science!

The 2024 STEM Summer Institute is offered FREE of charge to students who complete the program successfully and will include:

-ACT prep in all four tested subject areas (English, math, reading, and science)
-College tours
-College research and preparation (resume writing, college application process, financial aid prep) 
-Hands on STEM programming including a FlexFactor project and Shark Tank pitch, inspiring speakers from local STEM industries, and an industry tour.
-FUN!

Successful completion of the 2024 STEM SI means 80% attendance, complete all assignments, attend and present at the FlexFactor SharkTank, as well as attend the college and industry tours.

Students, this is a competitive program that is a BIG TIME COMMITMENT. We know that you will only get out of it what YOU put in. With that in mind, the application should be done carefully. Expect it to take 45-60 minutes to complete.

CAP & GOWN project's mission is to help under-represented students to and through the college process. This includes first-generation college students, students from low-income families, etc. Our programs are funded by donors with the understanding that they will serve the students who need them the most. With that in mind, please provide some brief information as to whether or not you believe this applies to you!
