Please complete this form to apply for a grant to virtual or in-person conferences or events with the goal of either learning or presenting about PostgreSQL.
Applicants must be from a traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the technology and/or open source communities including, but not limited to: persons identifying as LGBT, women, persons of color, persons with disabilities, veterans, and/or students. Individuals who apply should be active members of the open source community who are unable to attend for financial reasons and are unable to get funding from their companies.
Applications are reviewed at a minimum on a monthly basis, and approved on a case-by-case basis. Please note that grant disbursements may be a partial and not full reimbursement based on funding and demands.
We understand that it takes time to make travel plans and get your affairs in order prior to travelling. In the final question, you have an opportunity to add any relevant information to your application. If you are stressed about having enough time between being notified of your scholarship application status and your travel dates, please let us know in this section and we will do our best to accommodate you and give you plenty of notice.
Your chances are better at being approved if you choose a conference that is closer to your location. Please research conferences and events nearby prior to submitting applications.
A full list of local user groups can be found here:
https://www.postgresql.org/community/user-groups/ A full list of events endorsed by the PostgreSQL Global Development Group that would be eligible for attendance can be found here:
https://www.postgresql.org/about/events/ Other conferences and events may be approved on a case-by-case basis, taking into account how attending would relate to PostgreSQL.
If you are requesting financial support to attend more than one event, please complete a separate application for each event. Multiple events submitted on one application cannot be processed.
