Les Petits Ballets 2025/2026 Pre-Professional Audition Sign-Up
Auditions for the Les Petits Ballets Pre-Professional Program will be held alongside current pre-professional classes at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre (NCAC) at 35 Stafford Road. Auditions at Les Petits Ballets run like trial classes and help the teachers evaluate which level is best for your dancer while also allowing auditionees to get a feel for the LPB environment! 

After filling out and submitting this form, we will reach out to you shortly with an official audition date and level. If you cannot make this date, please send us a message so we can reschedule! 

On the day of the audition, please have your dancer come to the audition in ballet attire (tights, bodysuit, ballet shoes) or in comfortable, close fitting clothing such as leggings, shorts, t-shirts and socks. Long hair should be pulled away from the face (ballet buns are preferable for girls). Parents are encouraged to stay close to NCAC during the audition (please note that parents cannot be in the room during the class). There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the class is over if desired. 

After the audition, please keep an eye on your email inbox! Results from the audition will be sent within a few days, along with some very important information including level placement and registration instructions.

About Les Petits Ballets

Founded in 1976 Les Petits Ballets is a non-profit ballet school and performing company located in Ottawa offering high quality, affordable dance education for all ages, abilities and interests in a positive and encouraging environment.

The Pre-Professional Program offers progressive ballet training for aspiring young dancers based on the Vaganova style. Our teaching method builds a strong dance foundation by focusing on correct posture, placement, discipline, coordination, strength, flexibility and musicality.

The Performing Company is committed to presenting high quality, originally choreographed, full length story ballets for Ottawa’s audiences. The Company stages two productions annually at Théâtres Meridian Theatres@Centrepointe - May and December.  We value the importance of live performance as it is a vital part of training for every aspiring dance student. Dancers are typically invited to join the Performing Company once they begin attending syllabus classes at least twice a week, however the age and ability level required to join varies year to year. Joining the Performing Company requires a high level of commitment and dedication as dancers asked to attend all mandatory syllabus classes, supplemental conditioning classes, and rehearsals.
