Does AI disenfranchise the poor? Can AI be harnessed to uplift all people, or do its biases make that impossible? Can AI be used to make the world more equitable? What does Christian theology say about AI, and can it speak to the intersection of poverty and technology? Join the Grefenstette Center as we discuss theologian Levi Checketts’ new book, Poor Technology: Artificial Intelligence and the Experience of Poverty. Checketts will be joined by Ehi Nosakhare, a Senior Data and Applied Science Manager at Microsoft with a PhD from MIT, theologian Elonda Clay from Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and John Slattery, Director of the Grefenstette Center.
